Call it whatever you want. I know I certainly do :)

Here’s all you need to know...

I love getting in a room with people who want to soak up knowledge about drumming, engineering, music making, etc. So here’s what this day is all about...

It’s an 8 hour day in a recording studio with me and a small group of people like yourself. Typically no more than 15 people. The main purpose for me is to connect one on one with each person in the room and answer as many questions as I can regarding drumming, engineering, production, touring, session work, business, etc.

These sessions are intimate and casual and rely heavily on questions from you. The idea is not for me to talk AT you but to work WITH you and help you grow.

The day will be broken up into three loose segments....

  1. Long Q & A on any topic that comes up in the room. These conversations range greatly and are catered to the people who choose to come and the needs they have. Sometimes there’s lots of drumming on my part. Sometimes it’s a nerd fest. Sometimes it’s mostly about the business aspects of music. Sometimes it’s all over the map. It totally depends on who comes and what they are looking to learn. There is no dumb question.

  2. Breaking down songs I’ve worked on. We will all get in the control room and I’ll sift through songs I’ve recorded, with the multi track Logic sessions open, and talk through all the choices I made, explaining sonic/mixing techniques as well as the building of drum parts, programming parts, percussion parts, etc.

  3. Breaking down songs YOU have worked on. This is a chance for any of you who have a recording set up at home to let me open up YOUR session and give critique on what you can be doing better. If you don’t have a recording set up, that’s OK. This part isn’t required. But it’s still super helpful for everyone in the room to watch and learn from.

Registration & Important Info

IMPORTANT: Most of the attendees will be drummers but you don’t have to be a drummer to come to this. In the past, I’ve had plenty of recording engineers attend. Bass players. Producers. Songwriters, etc. If you have an interest in all this stuff and you think you can get a lot out of this experience, then come!

The main takeaway here is that these days can go many different ways and that’s what I love about them. I just want to be sure to address people’s questions and concerns, whatever they may be. Either way, they will be a lot of fun and I promise whatever happens, you’ll get something good out of this experience.

***There will also be a raffle at the end of the day courtesy of Istanbul Agop, Miktek Microphones, Evans Drumheads and Pro Mark Drumsticks.

***Coffee, snacks and lunch will be provided.

Any other questions you have will be answered. So don’t hesitate to ask.

Price is $800. Paypal “Pay In 4” payment plan is available.
